What is Zestril

Zestril tablets contain the active substance Lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor.

Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors) block the effects of a hormone called “angiotensin II”, which is produced naturally by the kidneys.) By blocking the effects of angiotensin II, ACE inhibitors cause the blood vessels to relax, which in turn lowers blood pressure.

Use

Contraindications

Zestril is contraindicated during pregnancy.
