Helminths can parasitise all tissues and organs of the body. It is a mistake to think that only people with pets can become infected. Parasites enter the body in different ways: through food, water and insect and animal bites. Albendazole is used to treat and expel parasites from the body. It is an anthelmintic drug that treats infections caused by tapeworms.
