What Is Anacin

Anacin is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic, effective for mild to moderate pain, generally well tolerated by most patients.

It contains two active ingredients: aspirin and caffeine. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that blocks the production of certain chemicals in the body responsible for pain, inflammation and fever. Caffeine, on the other hand, enhances the effects of aspirin, improving its analgesic properties and helping to reduce sensitivity to pain.

Indications For Use

The drug is used to treat headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, mild arthritic pain, fever or body aches caused by the common cold. Anacin is also sometimes used to treat or prevent heart attacks, strokes and chest pains (angina pectoris).
