What is Bactrim Forte

Bactrim forte is a synthetic antibacterial used to treat ear, respiratory and urinary tract infections. The combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, the protozoan bacteria Cystoisospora and Cyclospora spp, and the fungus Pneumocystis jirovecii.

Indications for use of Bactrim Forte

Bactrim is used in the treatment of infections:

Dosage of Bactrim Forte

Treatment should last at least 5 days or until the condition improves and no symptoms are observed for two days.
