What is Decadron and what is it for?

Contraindications For Use

Dosage and Administration of Decadron
Decadron is available as tablets and as an intravenous solution.
The tablets are taken orally once with or after meals in the morning (small dose) or in 2-3 doses (large dose): 2-3 mg to 4-6 mg (10-15 mg) per day. Once effect is achieved, the dose is gradually reduced to a maintenance dose of 0.5-1 mg (2-4.5 mg or more) per day. Treatment should be discontinued gradually to avoid the onset of withdrawal syndrome.
