What is Inderal

Inderal is a non-selective beta-adrenergic, which has a hypotensive effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressure after 14 days of regular treatment and prevents arrhythmias. • arrhythmia, obstructive cardiomyopathy, thyrotoxicosis: 10-40 mg 3-4 times daily (up to 240 mg daily);
• Pheochromocytoma: 30 mg daily.

Children under 12 years of age – in case of arrhythmia, pheochromocytoma, thyrotoxicosis: 0.25-0.5 mg/kg 3-4 times a day; in case of migraine – 20 mg 2-3 times a day.

Treatment should be continued for 3-4 weeks; repeat treatment with a 1-2 month break is possible. The drug should be discontinued gradually, as abrupt discontinuation may cause severe chest pain.
