Glucose plays an important role in our bodies, as it is the main source of energy. Carbohydrates consumed by humans are broken down into glucose and other simple sugars, which are absorbed in the small intestine and pass into the bloodstream. But how does the glucose get there? It all depends on insulin, a hormone that distributes and breaks down glucose throughout the body’s cells. The human body cannot function properly without insulin. A lack of this hormone leads to diabetes. Unfortunately, there is currently no universal medicine that can completely cure this disease, but there are drugs that can control blood glucose levels in severely ill patients. Our material is dedicated to one of them – Januvia.

We recommend you to buy this drug at an incredibly favourable price in our online pharmacy. You do not need a prescription, because we trust our customers and are ready to ship your order without a prescription, but we do not guarantee that other pharmacies will do the same.

What is Januvia

Januvia is a hypoglycaemic drug for the single or combined treatment of type II diabetes mellitus.

Indications

In patients with type II diabetes mellitus, treatment with Januvia is indicated as monotherapy or in combination with other preparations that improve glycaemic control, when diet, exercise and a stable dose of insulin do not result in adequate glycaemic control.

Contraindications For Use

Contraindications for use include hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, type I diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, pregnancy and lactation, and age below 18 years.

Before you start taking this medicine, ask your doctor about all your medical conditions, allergies and medications you are taking. This will help prescribe the appropriate treatment and avoid the simultaneous use of incompatible medications.

Side Effects

Like all medications, Januvia may have some side effects. These are rare. They include diarrhoea, headache, hypoglycaemia, asymptomatic low blood glucose, anaphylaxis, angioedema, rash, urticaria, cutaneous vasculitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, acute pancreatitis, pancreatonecrosis, worsening renal function including acute renal failure and upper respiratory tract infection, constipation, arthralgia, myalgia, pain in the extremities, back pain, leukocytosis.

Mode of Administration and Dosage

The tablets should be taken without food and with plenty of water.

Before starting therapy, ask your doctor for any diagnostic procedures. The physician will then establish the diagnosis and prescribe an individual dosage, which may differ from that indicated below.

In monotherapy or in combination with metformin or a PPAR-γ agonist (e.g. a thiazolidinedione), the recommended dose is 100 mg once daily.
