What is Mentax?

Mentax is an antifungal medicine used in the treatment of ringworm, epidermatophytosis of the feet and itching caused by fungi.

Indications For Use

Mentax is indicated for the topical treatment of the following conditions: ringworm, herpes zoster, epidermatophytosis of the foot, pruritus caused by fungi.

Mentax Posology and Application

Apply once a day for two weeks. Apply the cream after washing hands, without using an occlusive dressing. A light cotton and gauze bandage is permitted to protect clothing.
The maximum treatment period for the cream is four weeks; if the infection persists, a doctor should be consulted.

If a scheduled dose is missed, do not use two doses at the same time. Skip the intake and return to the normal schedule.

Contraindications

Do not use Mentax in case of allergy to the components of the medicine (the main component is butenafine), pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Side effects of Mentax

Discontinue treatment in case of hives, blisters, itching, scaling, swelling, irritation or dryness of the skin.
