What is Naprosyn

Naprosyn tablets contain the active substance naproxen.
Naprosyn is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic and antipyretic properties.

Effects of Naprosyn

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, joint syndrome due to exacerbation of gout. The drug is prescribed for spinal pain, neuralgia, myalgia, traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and joints.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults is: during the initial phase of treatment and in acute states 500-1000 mg Naprosyn daily in 2 doses (morning and evening). The subsequent maintenance dose is 500 mg Naprosyn daily in 1 or 2 doses.

In case of acute gout attack, 750 mg as a single dose is recommended, followed by 250-500 mg every 8 hours for 2-3 days.

The recommended dose for children from 2 years of age is 10 mg per 1 kg per day, taken in two doses every 12 hours.

Use

Naprosyn tablets should be taken whole with liquids; they can also be taken with meals.
