What is Tenormin and how does it affect the body?

Tenormin, whose active ingredient is atenolol, is a cardioselective beta-blocker. It slows the heart rate and reduces the oxygen demand of the heart muscle. Do not use in case of cardiomegaly, marked peripheral circulatory disorders (Raynaud’s disease), angina pectoris. Do not take during lactation, pregnancy and in children under 18 years of age. Caution is advised in people with renal insufficiency, diabetes, asthma.
