Instructions for Use and Dosage

Before starting treatment, ask your doctor to advise you on an individual regimen and dosage suitable for you.

The drug should be taken in the evening, due to the greater intensity of symptoms at that time of day. The tablet should be swallowed whole, regardless of meals, without chewing and with plenty of water.

Adolescents and adults are usually recommended to take 1 tablet per day. Children over 6 years of age are usually given 1/2 tablet of Zyrtec twice daily. Treatment in these patients may be started with 5 mg cetirizine if this dose is clinically effective.

Treatment usually lasts about 7 days.
